LiteTrace Achieves OpenADR Certification

The Keilton® Network Lighting Control (NLC) system by LiteTrace, a leader in Bluetooth® NLC systems, has received OpenADR™ 2.0b certification from the OpenADR Alliance. This certification fosters the development, adoption, and compliance of the OpenADR Smart Grid standard. By integrating OpenADR into Keilton’s NLC, LiteTrace is enabling the lighting industry to incorporate more demand response (DR) and advanced lighting controls to assist with grid stabilization and reliability, pipeline management, and conservation efforts.

The Keilton NLC enables DR for both lighting and plug loads controlled by the NLC system — all via open standards. This will assist lighting manufacturers and others in compliance with the latest standards in states such as California, where Title 24 code includes specific DR requirements for commercial lighting installations. LiteTrace has released their CR04 Inter-op bridge which enables its wireless Keilton control components to connect to third-party OpenADR systems, providing compliance with California and other Smart Grid systems.

“We are very pleased to have our Keilton system certified by the OpenADR Alliance and join more than 100 utilities and energy stakeholders in helping to enable and standardize the use of demand response,” said Chris Primous, VP/Business Development & Sales. “We are proud to help to ensure reliable electricity across the country by enabling lighting projects to incorporate smart energy management solutions.”
