Hydrel Pathway and Step Luminaire is Now Dark Sky Friendly

Hydrel Wander Luminaire

Hydrel®, part of Acuity Brands, has announced that its Wander pathway and step luminaire family is now Dark Sky approved. The Pedestrian Comfort Luminaires are Dark Sky approved when the LED surface is mounted below 4 feet. This means these luminaires help to reduce light pollution and preserve the natural darkness of the night sky.

Wander is a broad family of luminaires with multiple mounting options to provide visual continuity for pathways, steps, and surface lighting applications. It is uniquely designed to provide a wide lateral distribution that meets IES egress requirements from up to 25 feet on-center fixture spacings.

In addition to the new Dark Sky rating, Wander features a multitude of other ratings that contribute to a high-quality lighting solution in even the toughest conditions: IP67 for superior water resistance, IK10 for impact resistance, 3G to stand up to vibration, and BUG U0 as a full cut-off fixture. The semi-recessed and surface mount versions are also ADA compliant.
