Lutron Acquires U.K. Architectural Lighting Brand

Pennsylvania-based Lutron Electronics Co., has acquired Orluna LED Technologies Ltd., a premier United Kingdom-based manufacturer specializing in high-quality architectural lighting fixtures. The acquisition marks Lutron’s first outside North America.

Founded in 2010, Orluna is known for its high-quality downlights, uplights, and surface and track fixtures. Orluna’s sleek, compact architectural fixtures complement Lutron’s advanced lighting, shading, and control solutions for luxury residential and hospitality markets.

“This strategic move strengthens Lutron’s commitment to delivering exceptional lighting solutions, further expanding our global portfolio to meet the needs of our customers,” said Ben Bard, vp/luxury residential business at Lutron. “Orluna’s broad and elegant fixture portfolio, combined with Lutron solutions, will raise the bar for quality and design. Together, we will drive innovation and transform the way spaces are illuminated, blending technology and aesthetics seamlessly.”

This acquisition highlights the importance of global markets, reinforcing Lutron’s ability to deliver comprehensive lighting, shading, and control solutions not only in the U.K., but also in other key international regions such as Europe and the Middle East.

Orluna products are available in Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and the U.K.,and will continue to be purchased through existing sales channels. Currently, Orluna products are not available for purchase in North America. The company will maintain operations at its U.K. headquarters.
