Sterling Lighting Announces Reshoring Initiative for Its Outdoor Fixtures

Sterling 800

Virginia-based Sterling Lighting – which designs and manufactures outdoor luminaires for landscape lighting professionals – has launched a 90-day initiative to establish U.S.-based production, strengthening supply chain resilience and expanding domestic capabilities.

Project: Reshore focuses on expanding the company’s domestic manufacturing capabilities by introducing a new U.S.-based production line designed to complement Sterling’s existing portfolio.

“For over a decade, we’ve been committed to building lighting products that stand the test of time — designed with intention, engineered for performance, and supported with care,” said Patrick Harders, LC, co-founder of Sterling Lighting. “Project: Reshore isn’t a shift in our values — it’s a bold extension of them.”

While Sterling’s global supply chain remains an important part of its operations, the addition of U.S.-based manufacturing enhances flexibility, shortens lead times, and provides even more control over materials and processes.

“This initiative reflects our mindset: forward-thinking, adaptable, and focused on empowering our customers,” said Damien Sanchez, co-founder. “It’s not about replacing what works; it’s about building what’s next.”

Project: Reshore is already underway, with initial U.S. production running in Virginia and additional domestic partnerships in development. Sterling will be documenting the full 90-day journey, offering behind-the-scenes updates and insights at the official project page here
