Columbia, MD-based commercial and residential lighting and controls solutions provider Alliance Lighting has announced that Marissa Klink has acquired an ownership interest in the company and assumed the role of principal. A 14-year veteran of Alliance Lighting, Klink most recently served as Director of Specification Sales. In her expanded role, she will continue to lead the Specification Sales department while working alongside the company’s leadership team to help shape its strategic direction and continued growth.

With 17 years of experience in the lighting industry, Klink brings extensive expertise in lighting design, specification sales, and client relations. In a statement, the company noted, “Throughout her career, she has developed strong relationships with architects, lighting designers, engineers, and other industry professionals across the Mid-Atlantic region. Her deep understanding of the architectural lighting market, commitment to customer service, and collaborative leadership approach have made her an integral part of Alliance Lighting’s success.”

For more than 25 years, Alliance Lighting has served the architectural lighting community throughout Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia. Klink’s addition to the ownership team represents the next chapter in the company’s evolution, building on a longstanding foundation of industry expertise, trusted relationships and a commitment to supporting the design community.

Mike Devlin, President, Design Sales at Alliance Lighting, acquired the company in 2013 from Mark DeVries, CEO of Inter-lux. In the company announcement, Klink acknowledged the leadership and contributions of both Devlin and DeVries, whose commitment to the business and the relationships they helped cultivate have played an important role in Alliance Lighting’s growth and success. DeVries will remain involved with the company as an equity member.

“Marissa has been an important part of Alliance Lighting’s success for many years,” Devlin noted. “Her industry knowledge, strong relationships, and commitment to our customers make her exceptionally well-suited for this expanded leadership role. We look forward to working together as we continue to build on the company’s success.”

Klink stated, “Alliance Lighting has been an important part of my professional life for the past 14 years, and I’m excited to take on this expanded role. We’ve built something special through our relationships with the design community, our manufacturing partners, and our customers. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together and look forward to building on that foundation, strengthening those partnerships, and helping guide Alliance Lighting into its next chapter.”
