Sonneman-A Way of Light Rejoins Hudson Valley Lighting Group

In an email from Hudson Valley Lighting Group (HVLG) president Malaina Matheus to customers, it was announced that HVLG has acquired Sonneman-A Way of Light.

The announcement came as news to some, who remembered that HVLG had acquired Sonneman-A Way of Light previously and did not realize that both companies had gone their separate ways.

“This strategic addition strengthens HVLG’s mission to deliver the most comprehensive and design-forward lighting portfolio in the industry,” Matheus’ letter read. “This announcement also marks a homecoming of sorts: our founder & CEO, David Littman, was previously involved with Sonneman as a co-owner through 2018. By bringing Sonneman back into the HVLG family, we’re not just adding new products — we’re adding new possibilities.”

Existing Sonneman customers can continue to rely on the brand to develop forward-thinking lighting designs — while now benefiting from the enhanced sales, technology, customer service, and marketing infrastructure of HVLG.

Matheus assured customers that their day-to-day contacts and ordering process will remain the same.

The new Sonneman acquisition will allow HVLG to expand into configurable, high-performance LED lighting that is applicable to both architectural, hospitality, and light commercial applications as well as residential.
