Schonbek Crystal Makes Red Carpet Appearance at Golden Globes

While most viewers of the recent Golden Globes® were watching the celebrities, lighting professionals were undoubtedly looking up at the crystal chandeliers lining the red carpet entrance to the Beverly Hilton hotel in Hollywood.

Even the fashion magazines took notice, with Vogue writing: “Awards season aficionados will have spotted that the 2026 Golden Globes boasted a newly designed red carpet at the Beverly Hills hotel. One notable interiors flourish? The four spectacular Swarovski crystal chandeliers, which illuminated A-listers as they took turns on the red carpet.”

WAC Group’s Schonbek division partnered with Swarovski® to transform Hollywood’s most iconic arrival into a lighting moment. Suspended above the newly designed red carpet at the Beverly Hilton hotel, the four custom Plaza Collection chandeliers created a radiant architectural backdrop as nominees and presenters arrived for one of the most celebrated nights in film and television.

Inspired by Hollywood Regency glamour, the custom Plaza chandeliers were sculptural compositions of precisely cut Swarovski® crystals. Elegantly tiered layers of square, rectangular, and octagonal prisms were arranged to create depth, movement, and a refined brilliance.

The installation included three custom 36-inch Plaza luminaires and one dramatic 60-inch centerpiece. Together, the four fixtures incorporated nearly 25,000 Swarovski® crystals and required approximately 150 combined hours to create.

Noted Jenifer Walsh, CMO of WAC Group/Schonbek, “The collaboration between Schonbek and Swarovski® showcases the transformative power of superior quality crystal lighting on one of the world’s most iconic stages, where craftsmanship, artistry, and storytelling come together. The luxury of an authentic Schonbek chandelier has been captivating audiences for more than 150 years and continues to set the standard for crystal lighting worldwide.”

Swarovski’s Chief Commercial Officer Kolja Kiofsky, added, “We were thrilled to see these custom chandeliers take center stage at the Golden Globes®. Each piece was designed to capture the brilliance and artistry that Swarovski is known for, and we loved seeing them shine on the red carpet as part of this iconic celebration.”
