Resideo Integrates Leviton Smart Controls Into First Alert App

During the recent Design & Construction Week 2026 – which included the International Builders Show and Kitchen & Bath Industry Show – home comfort, safety and security provider Resideo Technologies announced its platform integration with Leviton smart lighting controls into the First Alert® app. The goal is to deliver seamless lighting control, automation, and design flexibility for homeowners and builders.

The integration expands the app’s ability to manage lighting alongside First Alert smart smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, water leak detectors, and security cameras, Honeywell Home smart thermostats, Schlage and Kwikset smart locks, and Genie smart garage door openers. In short, homeowners can use a single app to control and monitor their home.

“We’ve designed Resideo’s First Alert app to bring smart home solutions together into one seamless platform — without the need for a hub,” said Pat Tessier, vp/product development for First Alert and Honeywell Home solutions at Resideo. “This lighting integration with Leviton gives builders a flexible, easy-to-deploy option for connected homes and gives homeowners the convenience of managing comfort, safety, security, and lighting from a single app.”

Through the integration, homeowners can manage compatible Leviton smart lighting products directly from the First Alert app, as well as the major voice assistants.

Available lighting solutions include:

• Leviton Decora Smart Wi-Fi Dimmer

• Leviton Decora Smart Wi-Fi Switch

• Leviton Decora Evolve Smart Switch and Smart Dimmer Modules

“Leviton is proud to bring a leading smart lighting control company to the First Alert app,” said James Shurte, lighting controls product manager at Leviton. “This integration gives homeowners and builders flexible, easy-to-install and use options for connected lighting.”
