Office Space Combines Technology + Employee Comfort
For Pavion’s new office, the design team created a cutting-edge and immersive space using a range of lighting products, audio solutions, and controls technology.
A leader in fire, security, and AV technology integration, Pavion required a new modern office space in Raleigh, North Carolina that would showcase the company’s innovative technology while providing an inspiring work environment for employees. The goal was to create a space that fosters collaboration, enhances productivity, and offers clients a first-hand experience of Pavion’s solutions.

Collaborating with North Carolina-based architectural design firm IA and audio solutions company K-array USA, Pavion installed 75 KSCAPE RAIL units throughout various office zones, including meeting rooms, workspaces and the Customer Experience Center. RAIL, an integrated lighting and sound system, provides professional-grade audio, tunable LED lighting, and seamless remote control via Casambi. This configuration enables Pavion to adjust lighting and sound atmospheres across different areas, optimizing both employee well-being and the customer experience.
The 75 K-array KSCAPE RAIL units installed in Pavion’s new office were customized to meet different functional needs across the space. Out of the total, 42 units featured symmetric tunable direct lighting, diffused tunable indirect lighting, and integrated audio with a suspended installation height of 8.5 feet — all controlled via Casambi. One dozen units were non-audio versions, designed purely to provide illumination. Three units combined symmetric tunable direct light with diffused RGB-tunable indirect lighting and audio capabilities also controlled through Casambi for dynamic color displays. The remaining 18 units provided diffused tunable direct light alongside RGB-tunable indirect lighting featuring audio to offer a versatile combination of sound and customizable ambient lighting throughout the office. All units were specified in a black finish for aesthetic consistency.

The resulting RAIL system offers Pavion a versatile and cost-efficient solution that combines lighting and audio. The system enhances workplace acoustics, improves lighting quality, and modernizes the space aesthetically. As such, Pavion can now offer immersive customer events with dynamic RGB lighting and high-quality sound while maintaining streamlined installation and reduced maintenance costs. The installation not only supports employee productivity but also serves as a showcase for clients, reinforcing Pavion’s commitment to innovation.
