World Electric Opens More Florida Locations
The new branch in Port St. Lucie will be followed by locations in Homestead and St. Augustine.
World Electric, a Sonepar company, is increasing its presence in Florida by opening a new branch in Port St. Lucie and announcing plans to open branches in Homestead and St. Augustine this fall as well as a central distribution center in Lakeland in 2027.
The plans increase World Electric’s total locations to 23 across Florida and Georgia and is part of the company’s investment in providing residential and commercial electrical contractors, industrial customers, and data center builders with the products, services, and expertise needed to support projects of every size.
The Port St. Lucie branch offers a full range of electrical products and solutions backed by World Electric’s network of experts in areas like switchgear, lighting, residential and commercial projects, data center solutions, solar applications, and department of transportation (DOT) projects. Services and solutions available to customers include panelboard assembly, material cages, fixture carts, and a suite of tools for easy online order tracking and job management.

The new branches and the planned central distribution center (CDC) will enhance inventory availability, logistics capabilities, and specialty services for customers. World Electric opened an Atlanta-based CDC in 2026 to offer enhanced logistics capabilities throughout Georgia and services like kitting and prefabrication.
