WAC Group Partners With Light & Health Research Center, Webinars Launch in August

New York-based WAC Group has joined the Lighting Education Partnership offered by The Light & Health Research Center (LHRC) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The Partnership is a collaboration among businesses, organizations, government agencies and other entities interested in promoting meaningful and effective education in lighting.

“WAC Group is pleased to announce its partnership in the LHRC (Light and Health Research Center) by becoming a member of the Lighting Education Partnership,” said Becky Li, president of WAC Group. “WAC Group and all of our brands are committed to helping the LHRC promote the use of light to help improve the well-being of people. We look forward to working with the LHRC to provide education to lighting professionals and end-users.”

The mission of the LHRC’s Lighting Education Partnership is to deliver high-quality education that expands understanding of the value of lighting among end-users. Part of that mission includes providing professionals with technical information on using light more sustainably — providing the greatest benefit to the health of people and the planet.

“The support of WAC Lighting as a Lighting Education Partner will help us to expand our efforts in educating a wide range of people about the benefits that lighting can provide,” said Dan Frering, the education program manager for the LHRC. “We thank WAC Group for their funding and look forward to collaborating with them on future educational programming.”

Beginning in August, the LHRC will be partnering with WAC Group to deliver a series of webinars providing education on how light impacts the health and well-being of people in a range of residential and commercial spaces.
