Legrand Wattstopper PLUS

Legrand (LEDucation 2025 booth 4815/4817) has announced the rebranding of Encelium technology to Wattstopper PLUS. This strategic move is designed to leverage the complementary strengths of the two brands and align them under one brand that combines the cutting-edge technology of Encelium with the established brand strength and market leadership of Wattstopper.

“The rebranding of Encelium to Wattstopper Plus combines the best of both worlds—Wattstopper’s operational excellence and brand recognition, with the cutting-edge technology of Encelium,” said Andrea Lamieri, Vice President and General Manager, Building Controls Systems Division. “This transition strengthens our ability to deliver scalable, high-performance lighting control solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers, while ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry.”

Looking ahead, Legrand is committed to continuing to innovate under the Wattstopper brand. The long-term strategy for Wattstopper is to push the boundaries of lighting controls technology, improve customer experiences, and expand market awareness, ultimately positioning Wattstopper as the go-to solution for all lighting control opportunities.

For lighting designers and specifiers, the rebrand to Wattstopper PLUS opens new opportunities in the specification market. Wattstopper is already a highly regarded brand within the lighting controls specification community, and the integration of Encelium’s technology into Wattstopper PLUS provides a powerful, scalable solution for large, complex projects.
