HVLG Promotes Malaina Matheus to CEO

Founder and CEO David Littman will transition to executive chairman.

Effective September 1, Malaina Matheus, current president of Hudson Valley Lighting Group (HVLG), will become CEO. Founder and CEO David Littman will transition to executive chairman, remaining closely involved in the long-term vision and continued growth of the company.

Over her 16 years with HVLG, Matheus has played an integral role in the growth and evolution of the company, building the sales organization, leading expansion into new markets, helping guide the acquisitions of Sonneman and Schoolhouse, and leading our day-to-day operations as president.

“Malaina and I have been planning this transition together for some time, and I could not be more confident in her leadership. Mentoring Malaina over the years has been one of the great joys of my career, and there is no one better prepared to lead HVLG into its next chapter,” Littman stated.
