Donna Sumner Changes Roles at Acuity Brands Lighting

A 14-year Acuity Brands Lighting veteran, Donna Sumner has stepped into a new role at the company as Senior Director of Strategic Operations for the Innovation + Architectural Division.

She noted in a statement announcing her new position with the company, “Leading the Mark Architectural Lighting and Peerless Lighting teams as Director of Product has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I will miss being in the day-to-day with those talented teams, but I am deeply grateful for what we built together and excited to now support and empower them in a new way.

“In this new role, I will focus on driving strategy, aligning execution, and unlocking momentum across our architectural portfolio. We are entering a transformative time in our industry, where technology, design, and human experience are converging in powerful ways. I am energized to help lead that change and shape the systems and culture that will bring our bold product vision to life.”

Sumner has also served as a board member for Designers Lighting Forum of New York (DLF-NY).
