Charleston, S.C.-based Sonepar has announced its subsidiaries Springfield Electric, Richards Electric, and Holt have combined operations and officially rebranded under a new brand, named Echo, with Pepco to join in June.

The strategic move to combine these operating companies will enable Echo to leverage distinctive capabilities for customers across its 500,000-sq.-ft. footprint in the Midwest.

Chris Scarbrough, President of Echo Electric, shared, “With 1,300 associates and $1.2 billion in revenue, we can invest in and expand our capabilities like never before, truly setting a new standard in our markets. We’re excited for our customers across the Midwest to get access to these truly stand-out services.”

Customers across nine states will benefit from the dedicated facilities and services offered by the united brands.

•             At the Power Center, Echo Group builds and delivers power panels in just weeks – a fraction of the time manufacturers can supply.

•             Echo Group’s data center solutions offer dedicated inventory and services like certified pulling heads installation, custom printing and wire striping, and prefabrication.

•             The former Springfield Electric’s Solutions Center specializes in control panel building, sub-assemblies, enclosure modifications and controls engineering.

•             Pepco’s packaging and sourcing solution offers a turnkey approach for power substation projects, including project management, system design and development, and supplier network and consolidation.

Once fully combined, the newly formed Echo Electric will cover more than 500,000 square miles across Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, Nebraska and southern South Dakota.
