Wavecrest Provides Clean Power Delivery for Critical Lighting

Wavecrest power quality

Volatile power conditions and disturbances at the branch circuit level can wreak havoc on electronic equipment and can strike at any time. Wavecrest provides targeted power quality protection at the branch‑circuit level, delivering consistent electrical conditions for lighting systems and other sensitive equipment that cannot afford interruption.

By addressing surges, transients, noise, and voltage irregularities before they reach the load, Wavecrest helps maintain stable operation in environments where reliability is critical. The system uses a multistage protection architecture with varistors at the input to absorb high‑energy spikes and a relay disconnect to isolate loads during overvoltage or broken neutral events. A Class II power supply maintains internal stability, and choke‑based current limiting shapes incoming waveforms.

Capacitor averaging and EMI filtering reduce high‑frequency noise, supporting consistent performance for lighting systems prone to flicker or premature failure.

Wavecrest also protects against undervoltage and overvoltage conditions, shutting off at 40-50 percent below rated voltage and 10 percent above rated voltage. This helps safeguard emergency lighting circuits, industrial controls, POS systems, phone systems, and other electronics the document identifies as susceptible to dirty power.

In addition to simply creating an environment with reliable power quality, Wavecrest can be used to diagnose issues on site, allowing for easier pinpointing whether there’s a product or a power issue. Diagnostic lights provide quick visual confirmation of load status, power presence, and high‑voltage events.

Units are ETL listed, built with a 1.3 mm steel case, and offered in 120v, 208v, 240v, 277v, and 480Y three‑phase configurations, each rated at 30 amps.
