Sonepar Named a Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion for Second Year

Charleston, S.C.-based Sonepar has been recognized for the second year in a row as a “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion.” The company earned 80 out of 100 on the Disability Equality Index, the leading third-party resource for evaluating organizations’ levels of disability inclusion. The Index assesses workplace culture, accessibility programs and employment policies.

“We’re proud to be an employer where everyone can reach their full potential,” said Selenah Njoloma, Inclusion Director at Sonepar. “I am especially proud of the collaboration we’ve had with our benefits team over the years to develop our inclusive associate benefits guide. We’ve made it easy to identify benefits like hearing and vision programs available to families with autistic children.”

Members of Sonepar’s Abled and Disabled Associates Partnering Together (ADAPT) group accepted the recognition at the Disability:IN conference in Orlando, Fla., which took place July 14-17. Sonepar supports Disability:IN as a Thought Leader sponsor and has attended the annual conference for three years running. The company also sponsored a breakfast for NextGen Leaders, where Sonepar’s ADAPT President and Director of Data Center & Network Operations Jason Bullock shared career insights and information on opportunities at Sonepar.

ADAPT is an employee resource group that champions practices that create opportunities, boost engagement, and support the success of associates with disabilities.
