Spotlight on LIRC Ambassador: Perri Neuner, Acuity Brands

May 2, 2024

As key representatives of LIRC member companies, LIRC Ambassadors are among the highest-visibility profiles in the Lighting Industry Resource Council on the global stage.

They work closely with the IALD Region + Chapter Coordinators to engage with the local lighting design community, bolster communications, promote events, encourage networking, and promote the IALD and LIRC.

This edition, we shine the LIRC Ambassador Spotlight on Perri Neuner, Architectural Specialty Sales Manager for Luminis and Hydrel with LIRC member company Acuity Brands.

With a Bachelor of Science in Business from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Graduate Certificate in Architectural Lighting from the University of Colorado, Boulder, she is in her fifth year with Acuity Brands. She began there as an intern, participated in their Rotational Leadership Program, and landed her current role with the Specialty Lighting Group in 2022.

Originally from Atlanta, Perri moved to Seattle in 2022 for a change of pace and to enjoy all the beautiful nature of the Pacific Northwest.

Having experience in event planning for diverse groups and an appreciation for the rewarding connections they make, Perri intends to leverage the educational courses and training provided at Acuity Brands to create must-see events for the IALD Pacific Northwest chapter. The prospect of being a LIRC Ambassador in her home area appeals to her for this reason in particular: “One of my favorite tasks in an organization is to organize people to come to events that foster community and connectedness, and this is a perfect opportunity to do so while finally meeting more Seattle-area colleagues.”

“We in the Acuity Specialty Lighting Group believe there should be a greater focus on fostering the relationship between lighting designers and manufacturer representatives so we can better understand and communicate the needs and preferences of designers to influence the products we create,” Perri explains. “Accomplishing this benefits the industry and the public as a whole.”
