Eureka, part of Acuity Brands, has announced that its Atoll luminaire received a Red Dot Design Award for Product Design. It is the 10th consecutive year that Eureka products have been honored with this prestigious award; Eureka has now won a total of 20 Red Dot Awards.

Dating back to 1955, the Red Dot Design Award is one of the world’s largest design competitions and its Red Dot Label has become one of the most sought-after marks of quality for good design. As many as 50 international experts from different specialist areas are invited to test, discuss, and assess each product individually, awarding aesthetically appealing, functional, smart, or innovative products.

Atoll is an elegant, minimalist ring luminaire offering direct light and optional batwing uplight. Available in pendant or surface/ceiling mount versions, the rings feature high-quality construction with aluminum extrusion. A flexible, UV-stable silicone diffuser snaps in place to eliminate any risk of light leaks along the lens’ surface: the one-piece diffuser creates a single ring of illumination. The luminaire is also offered with an acoustic panel for areas where noise is a concern.
