Coastal Source & Lutron Announce Partnership

N.J.-based outdoor audio and lighting manufacturer Coastal Source and Lutron have announced a collaboration as part of Lutron’s new Native by Design program.

This partnership brings Lutron Intelligent Lighting – including Ketra and Rania – into Coastal Source’s durable, outdoor architectural and landscape fixtures.

“For more than 60 years, Lutron has set the standard for intelligent indoor lighting control, while Coastal Source has reimagined what’s possible outdoors with solutions built to endure the harshest environments,” said Franco D’Ascanio, founder and CEO of Coastal Source. “Together, we’re looking forward to creating a new benchmark for the built environment with seamlessly integrated indoor-to-outdoor lighting systems that are reliable, intuitive, and inspiring.”

Through this partnership, homeowners, designers, and integrators gain advanced capabilities including granular scene control, an expansive CCT range, and color mixing that delivers the most natural light. Additionally, with Ketra’s high-definition palette and seamless indoor-outdoor synchronization, lighting can be rendered with accuracy across every space.

“In Coastal Source, Lutron has found a partner that cares as much about outdoor performance and quality as we have always cared for indoor performance and quality,” added Lutron CEO Ed Blair. “I’ve spent a lot of time with Franco and his team in the Florida Keys, and I know that our joint products will perform in the most demanding outdoor environments. Coastal Source is the perfect partner to bring Lutron technology to the outdoor living environment.”

At the heart of this collaboration is VIA™, a new line of Coastal Source fixtures that seamlessly integrates Lutron’s Ketra and Rania Intelligent Lighting technology; VIA is available for pre-order early 2026. Engineered from the ground up, VIA unites Coastal Source’s signature durability and craftsmanship with Lutron’s most advanced lighting modules.

The Lutron Native by Design program is a curated network of best-in-class brands that integrates natively with Lutron’s Intelligent Lighting, window treatment drives, and control solutions, creating flawless experiences for homeowners and new value for integrators.
