SATCO Promotes Rick Hurst to VP of Connected Lighting

New York-based SATCO PRODUCTS, Inc. has promoted Rick Hurst to vice president of Connected Lighting.

Hurst joined SATCO in 2023 as director of Business Development/Connected Lighting and led the development of the recently launched Domino Networked Lighting Controls program. In his new role, Hurst will lead that program’s continued development and market expansion. Domino integrates wireless Bluetooth Mesh technology into an extensive program of controllers, sensors and keypads. It also features a unique Networked Luminaire product line with off-the-shelf ready solutions which include purposely built features and integrated sensors.

Hurst, who has dedicated his career to advancing innovation in the lighting controls industry, holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

He began his career leading the development of Crestron’s commercial lighting control systems as director of Sales & Marketing, where he built and managed both the internal support organization and national field sales team. He went on to establish and lead the Lighting Controls division at Enterprise Lighting Sales (ELS) in the New York/New Jersey market. Throughout his career, he has built long-standing relationships with architects, engineers, lighting designers, and project teams, earning a reputation for delivering innovative and reliable lighting and controls solutions.
