NICOR Lighting has endorsed the NEMRA POS/POT Minimum Recommended Standards as a further commitment to its independent manufacturer representatives.

NICOR’s vision is to provide innovative, high-performance lighting solutions for both indoor and outdoor spaces ranging from residential, commercial, and industrial applications. As part of its vision, NICOR is committed to quality, integrity, and respect. This extends to its products and interactions with distributor partners and sales network. NICOR recognizes the importance of compensating its independent manufacturer representatives appropriately and safeguarding its distributor information while being easy to do business with.

Rocklan Lawrence, President of NICOR, said, “A founding principle of NICOR is to treat people right…our distributor customers and our independent sales organization. Endorsing NEMRA’s POS Minimum Reporting Standards is consistent with our goal of supporting our sales organization and our customers.”

Jim Johnson, President of NEMRA, commented, “On behalf of NICOR’s NEMRA representatives, we appreciate their endorsement and commitment to the standards and to ensuring their reps are appropriately compensated for their sales efforts. The NEMRA POS minimum standards helps key information is shared in a consistent format to manufacturers so that they can quickly process and allocate commissions to their reps. The POS standards also help distributors streamline their POS reporting process, making it easier for them to share this key information with their key suppliers…without being concerned about sharing customer-specific information. Sharing POS information to ensure accurate compensation is a win-win for everyone in the channel and it doesn’t cost anyone anymore.”
