Kenall Lighting introduced the MedMaster Pillow and Pillow Slot luminaires to bring a softer, “cove‑inspired” aesthetic to patient rooms without sacrificing the performance and serviceability contractors expect. The fixtures are designed to support both patient comfort and clinical accuracy, offering multimode functionality and low‑glare optics.

The MedMaster Pillow is available in 2×2 and 2×4 sizes for overbed applications, with an optional tunable white feature. Its concave lens produces a smooth gradient of light, and the Unified Glare Rating (UGR) falls between 10 and 14, well below the WELL building standard glare threshold of 19. Four integrated modes—ambient, exam, reading and night—allow one fixture to meet multiple patient room lighting needs without complicating installation.

The Pillow Slot offers additional flexibility for designers and installers. Available in 4‑foot and 6‑foot lengths, it can be used alone or paired on either side of the bed to keep light sources out of the patient’s direct line of sight. Its asymmetric distribution delivers diffuse, uniform illumination and reduces sharp shadows during bedside care.

Technical Specifications of the Kenall MedMaster Pillow and Pillow Slot
