Deadline for Potential LEDucation Speakers Is Just Weeks Away

LEDucation 2026 is currently accepting speaker proposals for next year’s Conference, which will take place April 14 & 15 at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York City. Virtual sessions will be held the week prior to the in-person event.

LEDucation is renowned for providing insightful presentations, panel discussions, practical case studies, and addressing topics exploring emerging issues. The Conference will highlight the latest technologies, regulatory updates, essential issues, and lighting trends. Sessions are AIA CES–approved with many carrying AIA HSW approval as well.

To be considered, your session’s earning objectives must be clear and measurable on any of the following topics:

• Sustainability and material transparency

• Codes and compliance issues

• Lighting for health and wellbeing

• Lighting design tools, communication, metrics, and methodologies

• The business of lighting in different market sectors

• Emerging LED, OLED, and controls technologies

• Case studies of lighting design applications

•Lighting design and specification topics

Here are the guidelines:

• Submitters need to provide a brief overview of the subject matter of the presentation — not to exceed 100 words.

• This overview will be published in promotional materials if accepted.

• All speaker names and contact information must be included in the submission.

• Please add the following emails to your approved senders list to ensure you receive critical correspondence.

• Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

• Proposals are not accepted from marketing companies or third-party entities.

• Life coaches, business coaches & keynote speakers will not be considered.

Please note that in order to qualify for HSW Credit, 75% of course material must be HSW-compliant. Please list learning objectives with at least 75% of the content intended to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the occupants of the built environment. An example HSW learning objective would be, “Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to demonstrate why more uniform parking lots increase the perception of safety for occupants.”  In addition, courses with a category of “Art & Architecture” or “Codes and Regulations” are not eligible for HSW credits.

To qualify for Elective Credit, four Learning Objectives are required by AIA. Learning objectives should use action verbs to describe what learners should be able to do by the end of the program. For example, “Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to identify the differences between PIR, Ultrasonic and Microwave sensors.” Each learning objective is not to exceed 25 words.

Since LEDucation’s Educational Conference draws expert lighting and architectural professionals along with those who are new to the industry, make sure your submission includes actionable takeaways and practical guidance that participants can immediately apply in their work.

The deadline for Submissions is September 15; you can submit your proposal here or email presentations@leducation.org with any questions.
