Certolux Develops Luminaire for Correctional and Vandal-Resistant Applications

Certolux, from Leviton, VRSCS luminaire

Certolux, a Leviton company, has introduced the VRSCS series, a specification-grade luminaire designed for correctional, maximum security, and vandal-resistant applications. Engineered for ceiling surface mount installations, VRSCS luminaire offers exceptional performance and durability, making it ideal for correctional facilities.

Commonly installed in inmate cells, its robust clamshell design features concealed hinges, tamper-resistant fasteners, a contraband-trapping backplate and security lenses, ensuring reliable performance in the most demanding environments.

The four sloped sides enhance impact resistance and prevent unauthorized tampering or penetration. Intended for ceiling mounting, the VRSCS series also offers options for ligature-resistant construction, ensuring both safety and durability in high-risk environments.
