Hospitality Lighting: Leading the Way Beyond Calculations
ANSI/IES RP-9 Hospitality Lighting

Presented by Emlyn Altman and Chip Israel

There are many different types of hospitality projects, and effective lighting is consistently an important design tool to enhance the guests’ overall experience. It is often the first feature that guests notice and is the element that creates that all-important long-lasting positive impression that may influence guests’ opinions about the quality, character, convenience, and charm of the hotel even before they reach the front entrance.

In this presentation, Emlyn Altman and Chip Israel from the IES Hospitality Lighting Committee guide attendees through the world of illumination as documented in the ANSI/IES RP-9 Practice manual.
