LHRC Launches Online Education Sessions for 2023

The Light and Health Research Center (LHRC) is offering a series of webinars and two online professional certificate courses in 2023. These interactive educational offerings will be led by LHRC faculty and staff, who are the foremost experts in their fields.

Dan Frering, the LHRC’s Education Program Director noted, “We have designed these online courses and webinars to provide the latest information and knowledge to a broad range of professionals interested in lighting including architects and other design professionals, facility managers, medical and health professionals, and people from related industries.” 

The 2023 educational programs include:

Live! From the LHRC

April – December 2023

A series of four, live, one-hour webinars including information on the hottest topics in lighting. These webinars will be interactive to allow participants to ask questions of LHRC researchers about each of the topics presented.

Online Professional Certificate Course in Lighting Design

September 14 to November 16, 2023

This 10-week online professional certificate course in lighting design provides the knowledge and skills needed to help those in professions related to lighting to begin or improve their practice in architectural lighting design for a wide variety of interior and exterior spaces.

Online Certificate Course in Light and Human Health

September 27 to November 15, 2023

This 8-week online, interactive certificate course provides a solid understanding of the latest research about the interaction between light and human health, as well as information on how to use the power of light to improve health and wellbeing in schools, offices, hospitals, homes, and other settings.
