Upgrade School Safety with Light Efficient Design’s Emergency Troffers

Light Efficient Design's RemPhos RP‑TV/TF G1 troffer series

From early‑morning arrivals to after‑hours programs, schools rely on lighting fixtures to maintain visibility, support security protocols and stay operational during outages. The RemPhos RP‑TV/TF G1 troffer series from Light Efficient Design brings that reliability forward with selectable performance, integrated emergency capability and contractor‑friendly installation that fits tight retrofit windows.

The platform is built around FLEXWATT and FLEXCOLOR technology, allowing facilities teams to standardize on a single SKU while still tuning output and CCT to the needs of classrooms, corridors, offices and multipurpose spaces. With lumen packages from 2,200 to 6,500 and color options from 3500K to 5000K, the same fixture can support low‑glare instructional environments or brighter, high‑traffic hallways without complicating procurement.

For safety planning, the EMG1 integrated emergency battery option provides 500 lumens for 90 minutes, maintaining visibility during outages and supporting egress routes until power is restored. Because the battery is built into the fixture, schools avoid the added wiring, testing, and maintenance associated with external emergency systems. The fixtures also operate from -0°F to 122°F, making them suitable for gyms, vestibules and other temperature‑variable areas.

Controls also scale with district needs. The RP‑TV/TF G1 supports PIR occupancy sensors for simple energy savings and Bluetooth‑mesh controls through Silvair for networked scheduling, daylight harvesting and remote commissioning.

Installation remains straightforward: slim housings, multiple size options and field‑installable control ports keep projects moving during short summer construction windows. TAA compliance supports public‑sector procurement requirements.
