Luminaire LED Vandal Resistant Panel (VRP) Withstands Heavy Abuse

Luminare LED Vandal Resistant Panel (VRP)

Luminaire LED (LEDucation 2025 booth 4306), part of Acuity Brands, has announced the release of its new Vandal Resistant Panel (VRP). This panel is built from the ground up as the next generation of Luminaire LED’s vandal resistant family, withstanding heavy abuse for a range of difficult environments.

The VRP luminaire is IK10 rated to resist impact, and subsequently rated IP66 for resistance against water and dust. It is therefore designed to perform under the toughest conditions and with the most determined abuse, backed by a lifetime warranty against vandalism.

VRP was designed for a variety of demanding locations, including transport and transit hubs, educational facilities, and unmonitored locations such as locker rooms and storage areas.

A sleek design discreetly incorporates VRP’s anti-tamper hardware. It is available in four sizes (1×1, 2×2, 1×4, 2×4), and can be installed on both solid and grid ceilings. Mounting options include lay-in grid with lock-go-grid capability or flanged for solid ceiling with installation frame.

With its textured lens and diffusion film, VRP is engineered to minimize glare and eliminate reflections, contributing to a more comfortable and inviting environment. Static white is available in temperatures from 2700K to 5000K. Lumen outputs range from 1,500 to 10,000 with a symmetrical distribution.

VRP luminaires are available in multiple finishes including antimicrobial white, black, silver, and bronze, or a custom RAL color.

Fully compatible with both nLight® Wired and wireless lighting control platforms, VRP offers additional control options including dimming to 1%, dim-to-dark, and an optional concealed microwave occupancy motion sensor.

VRP luminaires are assembled in the USA and comply with both the Buy America(n) Act (BAA) and Build America Buy America (BABA) Act, government procurement requirements under FAR, DFARS, and DOT.
