Gardco OptiForm Floodlight Brings High‑Output Flexibility to Large‑Scale Exterior Projects

The Gardco OptiForm Floodlight is an effective option for large areas like train yards.

The Gardco OptiForm OFD‑L floodlight gives contractors a high‑output, low‑profile option for campuses, retail sites, hospitality environments, and public spaces. The luminaire is engineered for uniform illumination, broad mounting flexibility, and long‑term durability, making it a practical choice for both new construction and retrofit work.

OptiForm’s output range spans from 34,000 to 80,000 lumens across multiple distributions, allowing contractors to match beam performance to site conditions. The light’s optics provide efficient, uniform illumination over a tilt range of 0-80 degrees, giving installers wide aiming latitude for installation in plazas, parking areas, and tall architectural elements.

Mounting options support nearly any pole or structure. Slip fitters (SF2 and SF3), trunnion (TRN), post‑top adjustable (POA), arm mount (ARA), and mast arm (MAA) configurations are all available. Each mount includes integral aiming features, for example, the SF2 and SF3 slip fitters use “integral interlocking teeth and bolt to secure aiming in place.” For retrofit work, the OFD‑RMB bolster plate helps align existing pole drill patterns.

Contractors working in harsh environments will appreciate the luminaire’s construction. The housing is made from low‑copper die‑cast aluminum with an IP66 rating, and the system carries an IK08 impact rating. The spec sheet confirms that the luminaire housing is rated to IP66, LED Modules rated IP66, supporting long service life in exposed conditions. Vibration testing meets ANSI C136.31 Level 1 for most mounts.

The scalable LED engine is available in 70 CRI or 80 CRI with 2700K–5000K options. Modules are sealed and RoHS‑compliant, and lumen maintenance exceeds 80,000 hours at 25°C, with predicted 77.4% output at 60,000 hours.
