O’Blaney Rinker Associates Rebrands as ORA

For more than 14 years, O’Blaney Rinker Associates has provided exemplary service and ingenuity as an independent lighting manufacturer representative agency in the New York City area. The 2024 rebrand not only streamlines the company’s name to ORA, the fresh logo and resource-rich new website are helping shape the future of the sales channel. The ORA brand and business model speak universally to manufacturing partners and clients throughout the design and construction communities.

Originally, the company’s founding members’ names and reputations were critical to launching the agency; however, the acronym ORA (pronounced OR-ah) has become standardized in the New York marketplace, a testament to the strong presence of the larger team. The new logo is designed to remind designers of the strengths and support that ORA brings to the marketplace.

“The ORA specification sales team and inside personnel stand ready to navigate and support the channel, as the vibrant NYC lighting community takes on the challenges of 2024 and decades to come,” says ORA Principal James O’Blaney. “With a collective 100+ years of education and experience across the spectrum of design, engineering, architecture, and distribution, we provide services from schematic development through project completion and aftermarket service. Along with our partners, we turn lighting ideas into practical and economical solutions.”

The new website carries the founding partners’ names, but offers a clean new look, insights on the team, and direct contact info (no forms to fill out). The interactive line card is now searchable by product type, as well as certifications such as Made in the USA and IBEW. An extensive inspiration gallery is growing weekly with images of award-winning applications and superior design solutions.

ORA has been a strong supporter of the Designers Lighting Forum’s LEDucation Trade Show and Conference, in addition to other industry organizations and events.  Look to the ORA website for upcoming info on LEDucation 2024 in March, as well as agency and industry functions throughout the year.
