Mark McClear Named President of US LED, Ltd.

McClear brings decades of industry leadership to the organization, where he will support business growth and provide guidance in lighting controls.

Texas-based US LED, Ltd. – a lighting manufacturer of commercial, industrial, and sign lighting solutions – has appointed global lighting executive Mark McClear as President. McClear’s new role will focus on growing strategic national accounts while bolstering US LED’s expansion in lighting controls.

McClear most recently served as the global CEO of Casambi Technologies, the Finland-based producer of wireless Bluetooth® lighting control systems. Before becoming CEO, he joined Casambi in 2022 as General Manager for North America. That same year, US LED, Ltd. established a strategic partnership with Casambi to incorporate mesh network capabilities into its products.

Before joining Casambi, McClear held executive roles at BIOS Lighting and Seoul Semiconductor, where he drove new business across the Americas. He’s also credited with building high-performing teams and strengthening customer relationships in successful roles at Phonic, CREE, and Dow Chemical.

At US LED, McClear will use his extensive LED lighting and technology expertise – including controls – to cultivate new enterprise relationships nationwide. For customers managing multiple sites across a portfolio, lighting projects get complex across building types, installation schedules, and operating requirements. McClear’s role will draw on his expertise and experience to position US LED’s products, project management, and installation services to support them with a complete solution.

Founded in 2001, US LED started in the sign lighting space with the first industry use of white LED modules for nationwide projects, then expanded into commercial and industrial general lighting.
