AlloyLED 400x275The Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Progress Committee has recognized Emeryville, Calif.-based Alloy LED’s AmpChamp™ RGB and RGBW Terminal Connectors for inclusion in the 2022 IES Progress Report. The Progress Report showcases products that provide significant technical advancement in the art and science of lighting over the last year.

“We’ve engineered the AmpChamp connectors from the ground up after realizing the industry’s need for connectors that provide secure and reliable connections to eliminate slippage and connections that loosen over time,” said Joe Flynn, President of Alloy LED. “We are proud that the committee has recognized our products for uniqueness, innovation and significance to the lighting industry.”

The AmpChamp™ family of RGB and RGBW connectors is reportedly the first UL-recognized terminal connectors for color-changing tape lights. Featuring a unique patent-pending design, the connectors offer secure, fast, and reliable tape light to wire connections for high amp applications while enabling longer tape light runs on a single connector. The connectors also accommodate tape lights as narrow as 0.4 inches (10 millimeters) and support the most/highest number of connections within the smallest space.

The IES Progress Committee provides a yearly review of achievements that demonstrate progress in the industry. The Progress Report includes important new products, research, publications, and design tools.

The 2022 IES Progress Report was presented at the IES Annual Conference in August in New Orleans.
