How to Find Opportunities in the Current Housing Market

David Gordon, founder of Electrical Trends (a sister publication to US Lighting Trends), raises some interesting questions for lighting distributors who rely on steady business from home builders and property managers in their local communities.

Taking into account the data and forecasts provided by  Ali Wolf, chief economist for Zonda, as well the experts at John Burns Research and Consulting, Gordon provided suggestions for distributors who want to tap into emerging markets such as the growth of data centers and new manufacturing facilities (spurred by the BABA Act) needing to attract a large talent pool to their area.

In a time where mortgage rate buy-downs are becoming a necessity for builders to sell homes, there are proactive ways that distributors can level up their collaboration with builders and contractors by providing new and unique packages that add value and can hopefully move the needle on closing rates.
