Georgia-based manufacturer Halco Lighting Technologies® has sold its specialty lighting business – which includes such recognized brands as ColorSplash®, J&J Electronics™, PureWhite®, and Sollos® Landscape Lighting – to Hayward Holdings, Inc.

Halco’s specialty lighting business includes a robust portfolio of lighting solutions serving the residential and commercial pool, spa, fountain, and landscape lighting distribution markets. The sale of the specialty lighting business allows Halco to expand its focus in its core strength servicing maintenance, renovation, retrofit, and construction in the residential, commercial, and industrial segments. In addition, the specialty lighting business is an excellent fit for its offerings, which are complementary to Hayward’s industry-leading portfolio of pool equipment and technology.

“We are proud and excited to see the specialty business enter its next chapter of growth and expansion under Hayward’s ownership,” said Chris Chickanosky, CEO of Halco Lighting Technologies. “This will further accelerate the specialty lighting products growth and expansion through the leadership and investment Hayward offers. In parallel, Halco confirms its commitment to the core business serving the electrical and lighting distribution segments. We have received strong support from our distributor partners and this move will allow us to further expand our products, solutions, and innovation to help our customer be profitable and win more business.”

The acquisition reinforces Hayward’s leadership and commitment to the pool and spa lighting business and marks another step in its entry into the landscape and bulb market.

“We’re excited to bring these lighting platforms into our business and provide customers with the ability to control even more of their outdoor living space in the palm of their hand by leveraging Hayward’s leading OmniLogic® automation technology,” said Kevin Holleran, CEO of Hayward. “I’m proud of the company’s ongoing innovation, and our ability to continue to leverage Omni® through the integration of smart, connected products to deliver ambiance and comfort with our simple to use Omni app. Consumers are excited about unique options to enhance their outdoor oasis.” Earlier this year, Hayward acquired Water Works, SmartPower™, and SmartValve.

“Hayward is excited to add the specialty lighting business of Halco to our portfolio of pool equipment products,” remarked VP/Sales Albert Miller. “The lighting business complements our automation, sanitization, and existing lighting solutions and expands our reach in outdoor living. We welcome the team to Hayward Holdings!”
