ArchLIGHT Summit Partners With IALD Educational Trust

ArchLIGHT Summit, the growing lighting trade event and educational platform for the architectural, specification and design communities, has partnered with the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) Education Trust, a not-for-profit charitable educational organization that provides direct support to educators and students for the purpose of promoting the study of architectural lighting design.

The participation of the IALD Education Trust will include multiple support elements during the September 19-20 ArchLIGHT Summit in Dallas.

Jill Cody, Principal of Dark Light Design and a board member of the Trust, will give a presentation for students about the lighting design profession on ArchLIGHT Summit’s official Student Day, Wednesday, September 20. Furthermore, professional lighting designers and members of the IALD will also be doing portfolio reviews for students on that day in The SMART Center; participating students will sign up for specific times.

On Tuesday, September 19, ArchLIGHT Summit’s Casambi-sponsored Happy Hour will lead into the popular “Lovers of Light” game show, the first Dallas appearance for this traveling event. A portion of sponsorship proceeds will benefit the IALD Education Trust with the opportunity for participants to directly donate to the Trust throughout both days of ArchLIGHT Summit via a designated QR Code.

A full schedule of programming is available online here.  Attendees have access to dozens of seminars, discussions, and events offering timely and accredited sessions for lighting solutions, trends, and standards as well as addressing agency dynamics, diversity and inclusion, workplace evolution, and allyship.  Access to the ArchLIGHT Summit show floor is complimentary, and a $50 flat fee will grant admission to an unlimited number of sessions to secure continuing educational credits (AIA).

ArchLIGHT Summit encourages and supports the attendance of students interested in the commercial lighting and design field with complimentary admission to the two-day event and educational sessions.  ArchLIGHT Summit is also co-located with Dallas Design Week, providing additional CEU and networking opportunities for attendees of both events.

A current list of Association Partners for the 2023 ArchLIGHT Summit includes: American Institute of Architects Dallas Chapter, American Lighting Association, Illuminating Engineering Society Dallas section, Light Justice, International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) Education Trust, Lighting Controls Association, National Association of Innovative Lighting Distributors (NAILD), National Lighting Bureau, North American Coalition of Lighting Industry Queers, and Women in Lighting + Design international and local chapters.
