As the saying goes, “There’s strength in numbers.” Three top commercial, industrial, and architectural lighting and controls manufacturers’ rep agencies join forces to better serve customers in North and South Carolina.

Coresential Lighting and Controls of the Carolinas, EGI Associates, Inc., and Quality Lighting Solutions announce they are joining forces to become one of the largest agencies in the Carolinas under a new entity: Affiliated Lighting + Controls. This merger brings together companies with decades of lighting and controls experience and collectively more than 150 manufacturer partners.

Serving both North and South Carolina, Affiliated Lighting + Controls will be comprised of 30 employees and  four offices, with its headquarters in Charlotte. The executive leadership team includes Barry Enegess (President of Coresential in Florida), Len James (principal at Quality Lighting Solutions), David Locke (President of EGI Associates), Robin Conway (President of Coresential in Raleigh), and David Feus (Director/Specification Sales for Coresential).

Founded in 1987, Coresential Lighting and Controls has grown rapidly through natural expansion, mergers, and acquisitions, most recently merging with Carolina Controls Group in January 2019. “The merge of our companies delivers an agency of scale to the Carolinas that is unprecedented. Our resources bring best-in-class product solutions from the most reputable manufacturers in the industry,” remarked Barry Enegess.

“Quality Lighting Solutions has been dedicated to improving the customer experience, serving central and eastern North Carolina for the past 18 years, and we look forward to continuing to serve clients under this new brand,” commented Len James.

EGI Associates, Inc. is a commercial lighting agency representing worldwide lighting manufacturers for the Piedmont and Western North Carolina areas. David Locke, owner and President of EGI stated, “EGI Associates Inc. is proud to be part of this merger to continue providing lighting and control solutions to clients seeking innovative and state-of-the-art lighting and control products and service.”

This trio of industry-leading companies will now have a unified approach as Affiliated Lighting + Controls to provide customers with an elite level experience.
