Bell & McCoy Expands Georgia Coverage With New Acquisition

Bell And McCoy Next Gen 800

Houston-based agency Bell & McCoy has acquired Alpharetta, Ga.-based Next Generation Lighting, which represents leading manufacturers in lighting technology and controls throughout North Georgia and the Atlanta area. Founded in 2013, Next Generation (Next Gen) boasts 100 years of combined lighting experience among its team.

According to a statement from Bell McCoy, “The acquisition of Next Gen adds distribution depth and spec-side relationships, and we are excited to have them join us.”

Added Brennen Matthews, BMLC General Manager, “The acquisition of Next Gen is a natural fit for us. They bring a strong team and aligned values, and together we’re positioned to serve our customers and manufacturers at a higher level going forward. This is an important step in a broader growth strategy for Georgia.”

Noted Tim Duff, co-owner of Next Gen Lighting, “Unlike many acquisitions that struggle with cultural and operational overlap, this partnership is built on complementary strengths. The combined organization is designed to deliver a higher level of service…improving responsiveness, technical coverage, and project execution across the territory.”
