Lutron Changes Long-Standing Representation in NY Metro Area to ELA + Synergy

Lutron ELA 800

As of September 1, ELA + Synergy will represent Lutron Electronics in the New York Metro, Long Island, and Northern New Jersey markets across the electrical distribution, lighting showroom, commercial integrator, and commercial window systems sales channels.

For the past 31 years, the brand was represented by Thea & Schoen of Clifton, N.J.

According to a statement by ELA + Synergy, “This expansion builds on a 15-year partnership with Lutron that began in Philadelphia in 2010, where ELA + Synergy has represented the brand in Southern New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Over that time, the relationship has strengthened both organizations and sharpened ELA + Synergy’s ability to deliver exceptional customer service.”

Lutron’s direct specification team in New York will continue to lead specifications. ELA + Synergy will work alongside them to support the supply channel, ensuring distributors have the tools and service team needed to drive successful projects from order to installation and beyond.

In an article posted on sister publication Electrical Trends, Larry Rodger, President at ELA + Synergy was quoted, noting, “Many on our team spent parts of their careers at Lutron, giving us a shared perspective and a deep respect for how they work. That alignment has allowed us to deliver a seamless, end-to-end experience for our clients…Now, we look forward to building on that momentum in one of the most dynamic markets in the world.”

To ensure a seamless transition, ELA + Synergy is expanding its team’s resources, collecting strategic feedback, and formalizing service commitments. These include defined quote response times, prompt order acknowledgments, and additional sales and field service support — all designed to keep projects moving without interruption.
