Luminis is expanding its architectural lighting portfolio with Hollowcore Element, a new family of indoor/outdoor luminaires that pairs a distinctive open-core form with controlled illumination and scalable performance. Available in multiple mounting configurations and two optical approaches, the family is designed to help architects and lighting designers maintain a consistent visual language across interior and exterior environments.
The product family is defined by a circular form built around a luminous ring and open interior core, creating a fixture that is both visually lightweight and architecturally expressive. Intended for specification-grade applications, the design allows the luminaire to serve as both a lighting element and a visual focal point.
A semi-opaque double-layer lens produces a soft, wide distribution while maintaining a clean luminous appearance throughout the fixture. The result is a balance of visual comfort, performance, and architectural presence.
To accommodate different lighting objectives, Hollowcore Element is offered in two optical configurations. An open distribution option creates a broader ambient effect, while a metal shade configuration provides more controlled downward illumination. This dual approach allows designers to tailor lighting performance to the needs of a space while maintaining a consistent fixture aesthetic across a project.
The family is available in stem, surface, cable, and post-top/pole mounting options, enabling the same design language to extend from indoor gathering areas to outdoor pedestrian environments. Offered in 19-inch and 30-inch diameters, Hollowcore Element scales to suit a variety of applications, from decorative installations to larger architectural spaces requiring higher light output.
