Fabbian Unveils the Saya F47, A Masterpiece of Blown Glass and Metalwork

Fabbian Saya F47

Designed by Gio Minelli and Marco Fossati, Saya from Fabbian was inspired by the tale of a journey midway between the East and West, where aesthetics and the memory of far-off cultures are combined with the Venetian tradition of cage blown glass to form these timeless pendants. Saya F47 is offered in 3 pendant shapes and choice of 3 finishes including burnished, gold or chrome.

Each element of the Saya pendant is handcrafted through expert techniques possible only by the greatest masters of their craft. Starting with 2 iron rings, a blacksmith forges numerous iron bars into a structural cage around the upper and lower bases. This structure is clarified, cleaned and handed over to the expert glassblower. The completed cage form with glass is then electrostatically plated with one of two exciting finishes.
