Lutron Enhances its Vive System with the New Pico Line-Powered Wireless Control

Lutron Pico Line Powered Wireless Control

The Pico line-powered wireless control from Lutron Electronics is designed for commercial projects that require a battery-free option. The new line-powered device is connected to line-voltage power and communicates wirelessly via RF to Vive wireless load-control devices including dimmers, switches, fixture controllers, and receptacle controllers.

Like all Vive system components, the Pico line-powered wireless control features fast setup and proven reliability for use in retrofits and new construction projects. It provides the same control capability as the Pico wireless remote while meeting project requirements for battery-free wall controls.

Three configurations are available to ensure the best in-wall control for each space: ON/OFF switching control, ON/OFF with raise/lower control, ON/OFF/PRESET with raise/lower control.

Additional product features include:

  • Controls Vive-compatible lighting and receptacle controllers
  • Wireless (RF) control of lighting and receptacle controllers within a range of 30 ft (9 m) through walls and 60 ft (18 m) line-of-sight; wireless range can be extended with the use of a Vive hub
  • Available in the same gloss finishes as other Vive wireless load controls: white, black, light almond, and ivory

“The Lutron Vive system is a favorite among contractors for its simple design, off-the-shelf availability, and up to 70% faster installation than wired solutions. A growing number of jobs now require one or more battery-free controls as part of their specification, and we are pleased to offer the new Pico line-powered wireless control to meet this need while expanding your Vive project opportunities,” said Sam Chambers – Vice President, Lutron Electronics Co., Inc.

The new Pico line-powered wireless control enhances the contractor’s Vive system options while improving their ability to get on and off jobs quicker, with less manpower, and fewer callbacks.
