A-Light Introduces Mira Architectural Luminaire

A-Light Mira Luminaire

The Mira Luminiare from A-Light, part of Acuity Brands, is designed to provide functional illumination indirectly, using ceilings and walls as a reflector. Mira provides an asymmetric distribution that directs an even illumination towards ceiling and walls, minimizing hotspots and shadows. The luminaires are designed to use both ceiling and wall surfaces to reflect sufficient light into a space to functionally illuminate desks and floors indirectly. Designers can specify wall throw, ceiling throw, or a combination of both in the same run to deliver the right amount of light on a surface. A combined wall and ceiling wash offers up to 2302 delivered lumens per foot.

The luminaire is available in one-foot increments as a pendant, wall mount, ceiling mount, or mullion block mount, in lengths from two to eight feet. Multiple lengths may be connected to create continuous runs; 90-degree inner and outer corners give the flexibility to change direction within a space.

A pendant version of Mira with symmetric light distribution is also offered. It is available with indirect batwing illumination and direct Lambertian illumination, each delivering up to 1153 lumens per foot.

Mira luminaires feature a slim, angled profile for a contemporary look that enhances a variety of surroundings. Designers can play with different mountings and distributions, making it a good fit for the perimeter of a room, along a corridor, or in more open spaces. As a ceiling mount, for example, Mira enables even wall illumination without the need for a cove.

The exterior finish may be white, black, titanium, or a custom color or RAL number.

These fixtures are enabled with the nLight AIR network control system to manage lighting throughout indoor spaces, reducing energy costs and improving occupant comfort with dim to warm and white tuning.

Mira is assembled in America and complies with the Buy America(n) Act (BAA) government procurement requirements under FAR, DFARS, and DOT.
