Flex Compact Pro Delivers High-Impact Direct-View Lighting Without Added Complexity

application of Color Kinetics (a Signify and Genlyte Solutions brand) Flex Compact Pro platform

The Flex Compact Pro from Color Kinetics, a Signify and Genlyte Solutions brand, is a direct-view solution built to handle complex geometries, long runs and exterior conditions without complicating installation or commissioning. The platform delivers vibrant saturated color, tunable white and powerful eW, all from a single individually controllable node.

Direct‑view lighting is one of the most demanding disciplines in architectural illumination. Nodes must hold their line across curved surfaces, irregular contours and three‑dimensional structures while delivering output that stays visible in full sun. Flex Compact Pro’s RGBiW architecture provides two dedicated white channels plus full RGB, giving designers and contractors precise color control, high CRI tunable white and clean gradients that avoid tinting or drift.

Strands bend, wrap and trace across columns, soffits, façade reveals and sculptural forms. Standard strands ship with 50 nodes, but custom node counts, spacing and run lengths up to 465 feet let you match the geometry of the installation without compromise. Nodes can be field shortened, and optional marquee lenses snap onto flat‑lens nodes to deliver a classic theatre‑style aesthetic.

Nodes deliver up to 51 lumens at factory default or up to 69.8 lumens in tunable white with CRI up to 95.8. At 0.75 W per node or less, Flex Compact Pro provides up to 25% energy savings over the previous generation. Integrated cable‑tie mounts simplify strain relief, optional single‑node mounts support irregular spacing, and mounting tracks keep linear runs clean with snap‑on spacers that conceal cabling.

Control and commissioning are also streamlined. Auto‑addressing eliminates manual node configuration, and multiple control modes provide access to all five LED channels when needed. CKDMX branching keeps wiring flexible across complex layouts, and the system integrates with Color Kinetics power and control modules while maintaining backward compatibility with many previous Flex Compact components.
