Alloy LED Delivers LED Tape Light and Wire Connectors

Alloy LED TapeMate™ LED Tape Light and Wire Connectors

Alloy LED is pleased to introduce TapeMate™, the next generation of its popular LED tape light and wire connectors, providing a more secure connection and strength. Formerly known as AmpChamp, the compact, safe and versatile connectors provide secure connections between LED tape light sections, between tape light and wire, or between pairs of wire leads. The TapeMate connectors are UL Recognized, the only LED tape light terminal connectors in the industry to carry this distinction.

Available in standard (straight), corner, and up/down configurations, TapeMate offers the industry’s first RGB and RBGW terminal-style connectors for LED color-changing tape light.

The TapeMate straight and RGB/RGBW connectors feature a durable, clear plastic that is resistant to cracking, while providing a secure connection and fewer failures or contractor callbacks. An improved screw design on the straight models, which works with a standard screwdriver, can no longer be overtightened, preventing cracking and connection slippage. The connectors are pre-installed with super-strong 3M VHB tape making installation quick and easy and providing excellent strain relief.

The patent-pending staggered and stacked compact design allows for use with smaller tape lights — as narrow as 0.40 in. (10 mm) — for a much wider range of applications, while the high copper content construction provides exceptional corrosion resistance and unmatched connectivity. The compact form factor ensures that it fits easily into Alloy LED’s most popular aluminum channels and diffusers.

The massive 8 Amp limit enabling longer runs of tape light on a single connector, while innovative mounting clips allow for easy installation and secure mounting to any surface.

The tape and wire connectors are compatible with solid core, tinned, and stranded wire and for added convenience, the connectors are pre-installed with a 6-inch lead of 20 AWG, CL2 in-wall rated wire with tinned leads at one end. The design allows installers to bring their own wire (16-gauge or less) to the connector directly.

The TapeMate connectors simplify inventory, with no need to stock different connector styles and lengths and are backed by a lifetime warranty when used with Alloy LED tape lights.

Alloy LED is the only company to manufacture a terminal connector for every LED tape light it offers, providing customers the most complete and convenient solutions for the best, longest-lasting lighting installations.
