New C Series Downlight and Cylinder Collection from DMF Lighting Features Modular Plug-and-Play Design
DMF Lighting has announced the launch of the C Series collection of 4- and 6-inch commercial downlights and a complementing 4-inch cylinder pendant, providing an exceptional balance between performance and affordability. The unique plug-and-play designs with streamlined options allow for simplified and straightforward ordering and industry-leading fulfillment times in 48 hours for the downlights and 72 hours for the cylinders as part of DMF’s LightSpeed program.
“We’ve streamlined the C Series options so ordering is straightforward and easy, and order fulfillment is extremely quick,” said Ken Czech, vice president of new product development, DMF Lighting. “And even with the simplified options, we make no compromises in performance and quality of light. In combination with our powerful light engine modules, the C Series trims feature an integrated mixing chamber and wide-angle dispersion, providing high efficiency.”
Streamlined options include LED modules available with an adjustable lumen switch for a choice of 1000, 1500 or 2000 lumens or with a fixed output option, when lumen output is dictated by code. Modules also include an integrated emergency bypass port, allowing it to be used in both standard or emergency housings, streamlining contractor installation and mitigating any risk of incompatibility.
The modular, tool-less, plug-and-play design of the downlights and cylinder includes a housing, LED light engine module and trim. Drivers are integrated into the modules, so modules can be easily swapped out from below ceiling, making serviceability quick and easy, and allowing flexibility for touch-safe, onsite changes, as well as future-proofing as technology continues to evolve.
Downlight housings’ contractor-friendly features include pre-installed, removable, universal bar hangers with butterfly brackets to accommodate a range of ceiling types, optimizing installation time/efficiencies.
Downlight trims are precision-machined polycarbonate and UV Stabilized to accept higher lumen packages without discoloring over time. Trim finishes include White and Semi-Specular with White Flange. The inner and outer dimension of the trims are one of the industry’s smallest in the 4- and 6-inch aperture category, offering a more architectural look.
As with all DMF products, the lightweight and modular design allows for housings and components to be released in phases, reducing on-site storage requirements – and easing cash flow demands for particularly large projects – while maintain tight project deadlines. This workhorse downlight is ideal for offices, lobbies, corridors, kitchens, medical exam room, restrooms and more.
The C Series Cylinder is a nice complement for projects that can’t accommodate a fully recessed downlight, such as those with open ceilings or retrofits into existing junction boxes.
The cylinder pendant’s die-cast aluminum extrusions anad magnetized canopy feature no visible hardware, providing a sleek, clean design. The pendant is 8-inches in length and offered in White and Black. Pendant mounting is available with a paintable steel stem (24- or 48-inch lengths) or with an 8-foot, field-cuttable cord. The pendant uses the same module as the downlights, ensuring a consistent quality of light across an entire project when using mixed fixture types.
Color temperature choices include 3000K, 3500K and 4000K with an 80+ color rendering index. Color variation is kept within a 3-step SDCM for unparalleled quality and consistency.
Featuring a sustainable design, the C Series collection is ENERGY STAR® and RoHS compliant and Declare Listed. The products are Wet Location Listed and NSF/ASNI 2 Splash Zone Safe Listed. At end of life, all components are 90% recyclable.
