DMF Lighting Adds 11 New Versions to its 4-Inch M Series Commercial Downlight Collection

DMF Lighting M Series

DMF Lighting has expanded its versatile 4-inch aperture M Series Commercial downlighting collection, adding 11 new product solutions. The expansion includes high lumen DALI-2 options for the rapidly growing Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) lighting control protocol, and a partnership with Lutron that allows the integration of its Athena Wireless Node, an ultra-small, wireless, integral fixture controller.

The M Series Commercial recessed downlighting family expansion includes:

  • Round and Square Remodel Housings
  • Vandal Proof and IP66 rated trims that feature an anti-microbial finish
  • An Adjustable Hex Louver accessory that minimizes glare
  • Wall Wash/Sloped Ceiling trims for higher lumen output up to 3500 lumens (view Application Guide)
  • Round and Square Extension Collars for installation in up to 3-inch-thick ceilings
  • An Adjustable light engine module with an emergency option
  • Expanded Tunable White options up to 1500 lumens
  • Lutron Athena Wireless Node integration that also includes an emergency option
  • Expanded DALI-2 driver options that allow for higher lumens and includes an emergency option

The DALI-2 lighting control protocol can provide savings in wiring and installation when the application has many small zones and when the cost of conduit is high. The control protocol also provides more functionality with Color Tuning.

The Lutron Athena Wireless Node is packed with technology and endlessly versatile that can handle communications via DALI-2 with DALI Type 8, 0-10 volt, Clear Connect Type X, while simplifying the set-up process with Bluetooth wireless technology.

The M Series Commercial recessed downlighting family meets most site requirements for a wide variety of applications with lumen packages ranging from 750 to 3500, while providing continuity in aesthetics and performance throughout varying ceiling heights.

The modular design (housing, LED light engine module and trim) features tool-less, field-interchangeable trims, modules and optics for exceptional versatility and serviceability. Drivers are integrated into the modules versus the housing, so modules, equipped with quick connects, can be easily swapped out with below ceiling access, making serviceability quick and easy, and allowing flexibility when aiming a project or any design changes.

The M Series Commercial non-insulated ceiling housings are offered in round and square apertures. The modules include Fixed Downlight and Adjustable (360-degree rotation and 40-degree tilt) and the tool-less field-interchangeable optics include 15-, 25-, 40-, 60- and 90-degrees distributions. Color temperatures include 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K and Warm Dim (3000K – 1800K) and Tunable White (4000K – 1800K and 6500K – 2700K) choices with a 93 color rendering index.

Trims are meticulously engineered to provide precise performance and are offered in Standard, Hyperbolic, Pinhole, Wall Wash/Sloped Ceiling, Flangeless and Decorative choices. Trims are wet painted for a rich, matte finish in a choice of White, Black, Bronze, Clear Diffused, Warm Diffused or custom color (RAL).

Featuring a sustainable design, the downlighting system is ENERGY STAR® and RoHS compliant and Declare Listed. The downlights are Wet Location Listed; IP66 and IK10 rated options; and NSF/ASNI 2 Splash Zone Safe Listed.
