Joel Fisher Joins Barbizon Lighting Company

Barbizon Lighting Company has named Joel Fisher as its Northeastern Director of Operations. Fisher’s more than 20 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry spans production, corporate operations, and customer/employee/supplier relations.

“This new position is based out of our NYC office and serves our need for critical strategic leadership in our Northeast Region as we continue to evolve our business model to best serve the fast-changing needs of our clients,” said Tom Madden, President & CEO. “Joel comes to Barbizon with a unique mix of skills and experience with roots in television production, experience in working across multiple disciplines, and a long track record as a successful business operator. We are delighted that Joel is joining the Barbizon family.”

Fisher added, “I am thrilled to be a part of the Barbizon Lighting Company team. It’s exciting that this newly created position brings me back to my roots in the entertainment industry. I am so lucky to help shape the future of Barbizon as we begin this new chapter of our history. I feel my entire career has fully prepared me for this moment to successfully lead the Northeast region.”

Fisher will be responsible for day-to-day operations and management of Barbizon’s flagship New York office and will report to Tom Madden.

Fisher began his career at Nickelodeon as a production coordinator and rose through the organization in numerous roles in Florida, Los Angeles, and eventually New York culminating as the Vice President of Talent Operations. Most recently, in the role of Commercial Operations Lead at ?What If! Innovation Joel oversaw the daily operations of the U.S. office and was responsible for opportunity and pipeline management, revenue forecasting, financial management, and leading the North American commercial operations team.
