This new industry platform encourages lighting agents and manufacturers to align strategies and build actionable growth plans for 2027.

Indiana-based NEMRA Lighting, the lighting division of the National Electrical Manufacturers Representative Association (NEMRA), has launched the inaugural Lighting Summit. Described as a first-of-its-kind, members-only strategic business planning event, it was created exclusively for independent lighting agents and lighting manufacturers.

Taking place October 15–17 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, the Summit introduces a new model for collaboration in the lighting industry, centered around structured one-on-one business planning meetings, executive-level strategy sessions, professional development, and high-impact networking. The event theme, “Elevating Partnerships, Reaching New Peaks,” reflects NEMRA Lighting’s commitment to helping members build stronger partnerships and create measurable business growth.

Unlike traditional trade shows or conference formats, the NEMRA Lighting Summit is designed as a true business-planning experience — providing dedicated time and private meeting environments where agency principals, executives, and manufacturing leaders can review performance, align on market opportunities, discuss investment strategies, evaluate territories, identify growth initiatives, and collaboratively build actionable 2027 business plans. Industry coverage has described the Summit as “a true business planning event” built to foster deeper, more meaningful manufacturer-agent collaboration.

Since its launch in 2025, NEMRA Lighting has seen exponential growth with approximately 160 lighting agents and manufacturer brands. Guided by its core pillars of advocacy, education, and networking, the division continues to expand its value proposition through strategic alliances, training initiatives, market resources, and now, a dedicated summit experience built specifically for the lighting and controls channel.

“The NEMRA Lighting Summit is much more than another industry event — it is an investment in our members’ future,” said Jeff Bristol, Divisional Vice President of NEMRA Lighting. “We created this summit to give our members something the industry has been missing — dedicated, uninterrupted time with their strategic partners to have honest conversations, evaluate opportunities, strengthen alignment, and build actionable plans for the year ahead. When agents and manufacturers leave Dallas, they won’t just leave with business cards — they’ll leave with a roadmap.”

In addition to private business meetings, attendees will gain access to:

• Executive panel discussions focused on emerging market trends

• Professional development and educational sessions

• Access to preferred service providers and business resources

• Peer-to-peer collaboration with industry leaders

• Structured tools, checklists, and planning resources designed to maximize meeting effectiveness

To support member success before arrival, NEMRA Lighting has also launched an educational webinar series and planning resources to ensure participants understand the event format, maximize meeting productivity, and arrive prepared to execute.

As the lighting and controls market continues to evolve through digitalization, controls integration, energy mandates, specification complexity, and changing customer expectations, the Summit provides members with a dedicated forum to move beyond transactional conversations and toward long-term strategic partnership development.

Registration for the inaugural NEMRA Lighting Summit is open to eligible NEMRA Lighting members and invited strategic partners.
