Focal Point Releases Playful Acoustic Pendants

Focal Point

Like pieces of a vibrant ceiling puzzle, Plyta™ acoustic pendants from Focal Point, bring a sense of curiosity and creativity to interior spaces. With unexpected color pairings and soft-formed shapes, Plyta reimagines how sound control and illumination can play together. Whether forming a cloud  over a kids’ playroom or a rhythmic row in a hallway, Plyta invites specifiers to have fun with form, while still delivering serious performance.

Available in three distinct shapes, Circle, Ovo, and Triangle, and three nominal sizes of 24”, 36”, 48”, Plyta pendants feature the integrated ID+ 3.5″ Pure Cylinder light engine or an unlit acoustic companion. The high-performing light engine delivers 700 to 2300 lumens across six beam spreads, allowing specifiers to control lighting for a wide range of spaces. Two-tone ability for PET felt shades, chamfered edges, and a wide selection of color options allow for expressive ceiling compositions in hospitality, education, commercial offices, retail, airports, conference centers, and amenity spaces.

“Plyta isn’t just about aesthetics… It’s a tool for storytelling, “said Sarah Liberati, Product Manager of Architectural Systems & Healthcare at Focal Point. “With its distinct shapes and size variations, specifiers can establish rhythm, emphasize movement, or create moments of pause across the ceiling. It’s where lighting, acoustics, and architecture converge to shape how a space feels and flows.”

Design Possibility and Flexibility
Plyta turns ceilings into creative canvases, transforming everyday spaces with vibrant colors, dynamic shapes, and immersive dimensions. In a children’s playroom, Ovo pendants in cheerful hues spark imagination while softening sound. Along a hallway, a rhythmic row in vivid blue enlivens the space and enhances wayfinding. In collaboration halls, color and shape variations add energy, break visual monotony, and improve acoustic comfort.

With three shapes, three nominal sizes, and the option to mix finishes from the Standard, Premium, or The Naturals collection, Plyta inspires specifiers to create layered ceiling landscapes, whether in linear rows, playful clusters, or architectural grids, that elevate both form and function in any space.

High-Performance LightingPlyta integrates the ID+ 3.5″ Pure Cylinder light engine for enhanced visual comfort and control, seamlessly embedded within its soft-formed acoustic shade.

From playful expression to purposeful performance, Plyta invites specifiers to think beyond the standard ceiling. With vibrant colors, fun shapes, and seamless lighting integration, it’s an aesthetic solution that brings creativity to the senses – visually, acoustically, and spatially.
